Services
Kaubisch Memorial Public Library's automated catalog gives our patrons access to over 85,000 books on all subjects including fiction, nonfiction, large print, and reference. Material that is not available locally may be borrowed through interlibrary loan. The library offers many magazines, newspapers and periodicals. More than 5,000 video tapes and DVD's are available for loan including recent releases, classic films, children's videos, and non-fiction videos. We also have an extensive collection of music on compact disc and audio books on tape or CD.
The Library Collection
Library users will find an excellent selection of nonfiction, fiction, reference books, and a first-rate genealogy/local history collection. The collection also includes music CD’s, DVD’s, videos, books on tape or CD, and books in digital format (Playaway). Local, state, and national newspapers are available as well as a magazine collection.
Obtaining a Library Card
Requirements to obtain a free adult, young adult, or juvenile card are explained.
Public Computer Access
The library provides sixteen public access computers with high-speed Internet capabilities and Microsoft Office software. Public computers are located on Level 1 and Level 4.
Meeting Rooms
Two community meeting rooms--the McClean Room and the Fruth Room-- are offered free of charge to nonprofit organizations and groups for use as public meeting places.
Spanish Collection
The library's Spanish Collection--located on Level 4--features Spanish material in a variety of formats for adults and children.
Other Services
The library offers many other services to our patrons. Interlibrary loan, fax service, photocopy machines, and notary service are just a few of these additional services.
